What does one grey check mark mean during a WhatsApp outage?
One check means your message reached neither WhatsApp’s servers nor the recipient. If every chat is stuck at a single check and your internet otherwise works, WhatsApp’s delivery infrastructure is the likely culprit rather than the person ignoring you.
Why is WhatsApp Web disconnected but my phone app works?
WhatsApp Web maintains its own session linked to your phone. It can drop independently when the browser sleeps the tab, the phone loses background data, or WhatsApp’s web gateway has an incident — relink the device before assuming a full outage.
