Why can’t I log in to the Epic Games launcher?
Launcher login depends on Epic’s account services, which are shared with Fortnite and many partner games. When those services have an incident — tracked component-by-component on Epic’s status page — launcher sign-ins fail across the board.
Epic is down — why does it affect other games too?
Epic Online Services provides accounts, matchmaking, and anti-cheat to thousands of external titles. An EOS incident can therefore break logins or multiplayer in games you did not buy from Epic, which surprises players who never open the Epic launcher.
