    About Fortnite outages

Fortnite is Epic’s battle royale, and it goes down on purpose regularly: every season-ending live event and major patch involves planned downtime, on top of ordinary matchmaking incidents.

Fortnite publishes official incident updates at its status page — worth checking alongside our live test above.

    Fortnite FAQ

Why is Fortnite down right now — is it an update?

Fortnite schedules downtime for every big patch and season launch, usually announced in advance on Epic’s channels with queues returning over a few hours. Unscheduled failures show as "waiting in queue" or matchmaking errors on Epic’s status page.

What does "Fortnite servers not responding" mean?

That error means your client reached Epic but the game-server fleet did not answer — typical during login storms right after downtime ends. Waiting a few minutes and retrying beats rebooting, since the bottleneck is on Epic’s side.

Is Fortnite down for everyone or just me?

We test Fortnite (https://fortnite.com) live from our own servers. If our check succeeds but you still can't connect, the outage is probably local to you — try another network or device, clear your cache, or check Fortnite's official status channels.
