What does Roblox error code 279 mean?
Error 279 means your client connected to Roblox but the specific game server failed to respond. During platform incidents it hits every experience at once; if only one game shows it, that game’s servers — not Roblox as a whole — are the problem.
Why can I log in to Roblox but not join any game?
Login and game-joining run on different Roblox systems, so authentication can succeed while the matchmaking and game-server layer is down. That split is a genuine platform incident and is usually acknowledged quickly on Roblox’s status page.
